Kyrie's choice

Kyrie,s choice of a weapon...hehe,at the medieval days in Deer river on Saturday  we all got to hold a lot of weapons and armour and one of the things we held was  a spear and Kyrie happily volunteered to hold it...after everyone else did, it was pretty heavy but she was finally able to lift it up after hitting the ground with it!

Bedtime Mischief

After our weekly movie night, the kids were instructed to brush teeth before going to bed. It was the girls' turn first, and after a few minutes they had not yet emerged from the bathroom. After further investigation we found our youngest trying her skills as a makeup artist. Obviously it had to be removed - the stuff never looks the same in the morning...

For One Day Only

Today is the day for selling stuff at our garage sale, a redo of another one done a couple of months ago. The girls have been at it since this morning, and there seems to be a slow but steady stream of people dropping by. It was a good idea to combine it with the time of the fair, but it's only for today...

Sleepover

The girls were having their friends over, and because of all the ginormous amount of fun were not falling asleep for a long time either.

Number 4 Goes Number 2

Potentially a great Sunday for
one of the Knudegaard kids. Our youngest daughter Kyrie decided to depart (momentarily) of her diaper and proceeded to tell us that something was going on in the Southern region. We grabbed her and put her on the nearest toilet - just in time. A moment of pure joy came over her face as she realized she had just accomplished what only her siblings have done before her; number 2. She was treated to a piece of candy.

Happy Easter!

Because today is Easter Sunday and tomorrow is the 1977 year anniversary of the resurrection, we dressed all the kidlets up in their Sunday's best. The kids were happy to pose for the camera, and to wish everyone a Happy Easter.

And She Walks...

Kyrie took her first few steps this afternoon.
The whole family was watching her as she took the big leap and let go of her support. For the next thirty minutes she kept walking between Daddy on the couch and Mommy on the floor. Needless to say, she was very proud of herself...

Kyrie has more teeth

Kyrie has grown more teeth and is now up to eight total!

Harvest Festival

The children dressed up for a festival at church. Kobe was Spiderman, Kian was Batman, Karis was a cheerleader, and Kyrie was tinkerbell. The children played games, won candy, and had a great time pretending to be a superhero!

Kyrie was heard laughing in her room and when Mommy appeared, she laughed aloud as Kyrie showed her how she could stand up in her crib! Karis was equally impressed and clapped with delight.

Grandpappa Arrives!

Grandpappa comes for a visit and meets his newest granddaughter! They bond instantly and she treats him to many smiles during his stay!

The kids have fun with a buffet of play-doh, and Kyrie watches from afar...

Coming Full Circle...

Kyrie is shown here wearing a dress I (Rebecca) wore on my first birthday. Mom found it in the attic of their house. It fits Kyrie perfectly and is a special reminder of how precious life is and how I never imagined that someday my little daughter would be wearing something that I wore.

We have noticed that in photographs, Kyrie's eyes really shine bright blue! She is so photogenic!
